About Me
I’ve had my therapy practice since 2022 and I have 10+ years experience supporting queer and trans communities in various settings including facilitating peer support groups, supporting folks through gender affirmation, and organizing community events.
I work with folks of all genders and sexualities who are feeling fearful and hopeless right now. My clients are often feeling isolated or misunderstood in their relationships. I work with couples who are finding it difficult to communicate their needs to each other, and with parents and their adult children to repair relationships.
I am a trans and queer therapist and my experiences inform my work. I know that we don’t exist in a vacuum, and we are constantly impacted both by our closer social networks, and by what is happening in the world. When we work together, we won’t ignore these impacts or try to disappear the feelings or reactions you have.
Why choose to work with me?
We are all connected, like the mycelium of mushrooms. Relational psychotherapy suggests that our pain often happen in relationships, but that healing also takes place in the context of relationships. The relationship we build as a therapist and client is an opportunity for just such healing.
We can work together to understand your own patterns of thoughts and feelings about yourself. We can explore the power of significant relationships, past and present, that shape your self-experience. Through therapy, we can strengthen and transform your sense of self, which in turn enhances your confidence and well-being in the world.
